About

My name is Thorsten Beeck. I’m a web designer & developer based in Northern Germany and a fan of side projects. I was diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 39.

My background

Although I felt different almost my entire life, I would’ve never thought the reason for it was ADHD. But after two people I talked to, a psychologist and a good friend who was recently diagnosed with ADHD, recommended to get tested, I started to dive into the topic and got myself to find a place to get tested for it.

The road to my diagnosis was quite long. It took me a year to get tested for ADHD and almost another half year to get treatment for it. I later found out that many people have to wait way longer than me to get their diagnosis and treatment.

After I was diagnosed with ADHD, I searched the internet for sources that helped me understand ADHD better but also gave me tips to deal with all the symptoms that come with it and live a better life. Finding the information I was looking for was sometimes really difficult.

Birth of ADHD Links

That’s when I got the idea of building ADHD Links, a website that offers useful links for people with ADHD so they can save time when searching the internet for the sources they’re looking for.

ADHD Links is still work in progress and will be updated infrequently. At the moment I have categorized the links in the categories above but this may change or be expanded in the future. Also newly added links will have a “NEW” label.

If you have any feedback or know a good source that’s missing and should be added, just let me know.
